Evoking earth and sky,this Abstract Figures in Landscape,Oil painting#21 is a two canvas work.
As Both are made to hang together but you can hang them apart.
Specifically I paint across two Canvases to create one unique vivid artwork.
And because seeking the inside and outside of the edges is my creative style
So I use Color,line and space with the dark earth colors dividing the canvases with the dream-like figures in the sky.
In fact I think about starts and endings with every brushstroke.
So this painting took 2 months to complete with the process includes stretching the canvas over the wood frame.
Indeed I do not use store bought canvas and no prior sketches were done.
Because I paint in the moment,making changes as I paint.
For example I used the blank canvases as a starting point with washes of dark blue color.
Secondly The top canvas was turned to allow the color to drip
so this was the beginning of this Abstract Figures Oil Painting.
Thirdly I use a variety of different artist brushes and oil colors.
With over fifty different types of brushes and many different tubes of oil color.
In fact I do not make copies of my abstract oil paintings.
Nor limited edition copies
There is only one original modern work of art.
