  Laurie Rubell  had said many times “I cannot remember a time when I didn’t interpret the world through a paintbrush and tubes of oil paint" 

Also ,She  has lived her life as an artist by creating unique abstract oil paintings.

Although working in several mediums including photography and drawing She explores her ideas most fully through oil painting.

In fact Laurie Rubell is known for her large scale abstract oil paintings,often using 2 canvases to create one painting.

Using 2 separate Canvases adds boundaries and edges while seeking what's  beyond the edge.

For instance She 
paints in an Abstract style,combining lines and shapes while featuring subtle and  bold brushwork.

And her abstract oil paintings contain thousands of brushstrokes and countless layers of oil paint 

With this in mind ,brushstrokes and layers of paint merge and form unique works of art.

For that reason her paintings often take months to create.
  
Thus this Art gallery collection of unique artwork which features a life of abstract oil paintings.

Because as an artist creating one of a kind works of art is the goal. 

Though born in New York,she attended the University of Hartford(Hartford Art School) and earned her B.F.A. at the School of Visual arts in N.YC.

Having her first exhibit  In New York as an Emerging Artist she later showed her work in New Jersey,Washington,Philadelphia and Richmond.

In addition to numerous online shows and art galleries. 

Because  her goals as an artist have always seemed simple

 Which is keep pushing the edges of your artistic work,elevate your unique vision ,and grow as an artist 

In fact I do not make copies of my paintings nor limited editions.
