Abstract Art in Interior Spaces

Choosing original artwork online can make it difficult to imagine how a painting will look and feel in a room. These interior photographs show my original abstract oil paintings in a variety of spaces, helping you visualize their scale, color, and presence.

Many of my paintings are large-scale works created to become a strong visual part of an interior. Color, movement, layered brushwork, and thousands of individual brushstrokes give each painting its own character.

Several of my paintings are created across two canvases. Although these two-canvas paintings are designed as one composition, the individual canvases can also be separated to create a different relationship with the surrounding space.

The interior photographs on this page show how my paintings can work with different furnishings, wall colors, and architectural settings. They also provide a sense of proportion that can be difficult to see when viewing a painting by itself online.

Every painting is an original oil on canvas, created by me in my Virginia studio. I hand-stretch my canvases and work without preliminary sketches, allowing each painting to develop through layers of color, brushwork, and movement.
