Abstract Figures in Landscape,Oil painting #3

Abstract Figures in Landscape,Oil painting #3

This oil painting defined my career as an artist.

Because I decided to make great original oil paintings instead of making lots of product.

Although it took 6 months to complete this painting seems like its frozen  in time.

A split second captured on canvas.

Several thousand brushstrokes, with thousands of layers of thinly applied oil paint.

Resulting in this radiant and luminous oil painting.

This oil painting combines the figurative and the abstract.

Because I think about beginnings and endings.

Why? My creative process!

So I use Color, line and space and gravity
and creative imagery.

With bold lines and color in this abstract figurative landscape.

For example,I don't use "Pre-stretched canvas and  no sketches were done.

I use the large  blank canvas as a starting point, imagining an abstract landscape or seascape with figures.

Starting at the top,I allow the colors to drip so this was the beginning of the painting.

You might be surprised that I use over 50 different types and styles of brushes.

By using different types and styles of brushes I create different textures, lines, brushstrokes.

All of which contribute to  the details of the  painting.

In addition, I use over  100 different tubes of oil paint.

Unlike others,I mix different brands and shades of oil paint.

This creates a moment in time.

Above the horizon, black paint gravitates into the white landscape, branching into shadowy shades of grey

Drips of color ,shapes and lines of saturated color, with glossy and matte surfaces.

As the brilliant imagery appears it seems like a split second in time.

Perhaps a modern art snapshot.

I do not make copies of my paintings.

No limited copies and no other similar.

There is only only one original unique modern work with saturated earth colors, brushwork and drips of paint.
