Using the blank canvas as a starting point,thick black paint was applied at the top which allowed the paint to drip so this was the beginning of this abstract painting.
As the paint dripped I used my brushes to guide the paint,which creates branches and shadows in this abstract oil painting,enriching the canvas with depth.
In conclusion,gravity completes this oil painting creating perhaps a visual map,a black and white constellation of stars.
Why? My creative process which explores and rearranges abstract landscape and the figurative.
Because I use Color,line and space and gravity.
For example,I think about beginnings and endings of any moment and that exact moment of the beginning and the end.
For instance,this painting took 2 weeks to complete because the process includes "stretching" the canvas over the wood frame.
But I do not use "Pre-stretched canvas" and no sketches were done as I paint live,working and reworking color and line.
You might be surprised that I use over 50 different types and styles of brushes in creating my artwork.
Why?This creates different textures,along with thousands of brushstrokes adding to how you see this oil painting.
How many tubes of oil paint? Over 100 different tubes of various shades of color.
As I use many different colors which add to this abstract art.
Above the horizon,black paint gravitates into the white landscape,branching into shadowy shades of grey
Drips of color ,shapes and lines of shades of Grey Abstract black and White oil painting.
With this subtraction of color the painting reveals the beauty of black,white and grey.
However
I do not make copies of my paintings nor limited editions.
There is only only one original unique modern work ,monochrome,detail pictures reveal vertical drips of paint.
